Services

Mission Vista partners with our Participants and their families to empower them with life skills supports like assistance with money management, scheduling medical and dental appointments, medication self-management, grocery shopping, meal planning, social activity scheduling and transportation to work or social activities. Participants receiving services from Mission Vista have access to staff supports 24 hours a day for assistance with any needed and appropriate supports for independent living.

ISL

Independent Supported Living (ISL) provides supported living services in which adults live independently, all throughout the Wenatchee Valley. ISL Direct Support Professional (DSP) staff assist participants with activities of daily living or any support that a Participant might need to maintain their independence and quality of life in the community.

Our staff, in coordination with Case Managers from the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA), partner with our participants to choose when, how often, and where the service and support will be provided. Therefore, giving each Participant “Power and Choice”.

Mission Vista operates two “24 hours a day” supported living programs located in Wenatchee and East Wenatchee. These programs assist individuals who live in apartment complexes where we provide 24 hours a day support staff. The individuals we support at these locations rent their own apartments and choose their living situation, either live alone or with roommates.

Mission Vista assists adults with Individual Employment (IE), providing job searching services including resume building, job development, application assistance and interview support. Mission Vista Vocational services also include support and follow up with one-on-one job coaching available to ensure job skill building and retention.

Funded through Chelan Douglas Developmental Disabilities and the Washington State Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, our vocational services program continues to work in the community to increase awareness among employers to identify, support, and create employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. Or Vocational Team is CARF Certified and is a Community Resource Contractor with the Washington State Department of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR). Community Inclusion (CI) services are also available.

Our Quality-of-Life fund has been established to assist the people we support in times of financial crisis, medical needs, personal goal achievement, housing procurement, and other unforeseen needs as they arise. Filling a gap left by a difficult job market, cuts in Medicaid/Medicare programs as well as other federal and state financial assistance, the fund is supported by donations from friends of Mission Vista, family, and community members.
